Three-time author (“The Cocktail Party: Eat, Drink, Play, Recover” and “Tiny Hot Dogs: A Memoir in Small Bites” and “How to Lose Friends and Influence No One”) and lifestyle expert Mary Giuliani launched Mary Giuliani Catering & Events (MGCE) in 2005 based on a love for entertaining, food and hospitality. A food and beverage storyteller and granter of “culinary wishes” who loves to take a client’s “great idea” and bring it life, Mary has created parties for the crème de la crème of the art, fashion and entertainment sets, earning her the moniker “Caterer To The Stars” for over 20 years.
Based on her days and nights “behind the tray,” Mary also has launched a storytelling live event, “Eating Stories” which debuted at the 2015 NYCWFF to a sold-out audience. She’s has gone on to bring “Eating Stories” to New York Magazine’s Vulture Culture Festival, as well The Dinner Roll Campaign, (in collaboration with benefactors City Harvest and The James Beard Foundation)
Mary’s brilliant idea of gathering some of the biggest names in food and beverage for a night of tall tales, big drinks and small bites is literally a feast for the senses – following each story shared, waitstaff moves through the audience, offering a scrumptious sampling of the highlighted dish, snack or sip to guests right in their seat.
In addition to founding MGCE, Mary has appeared on Billions, The Barefoot Contessa, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Hallmark Home & Family and is a featured regular on The Rachael Ray Show; Mary’s column “Eat, Drink & Be Mary” also appears in Rachael Ray In Season magazine. She is the author of “The Cocktail Party: Eat, Drink, Play, Recover” and “Tiny Hot Dogs: A Memoir in Small Bites.”
Mary graduated from Georgetown University with a degree in English/Theater and spent a year in Florence, Italy studying Italian food, wine and culture.
She and her family reside in New York City and Woodstock, NY.
